About Rita

Rita Brown is a graduate of the University of Florida and a certified teach of physical education. Under her coaching, over 40 gymnasts have qualified to the National Team and her National/International Medalists total over 100.  Her accomplishments also include has qualifying gymnasts in the 2004, 1996, 1992, and 1988 Olympic Games.

Rita has authored 11 books on coaching and safety awareness in both gymnastics and cheerleading. She offers her knowledge as an Expert Witness in evaluating and assisting in gymnastics related accidents.


Mission Statement

Rita Brown has dedicated her life to building self-confidence through fitness and fun, to teach gymnastics in a safe environment, and to raise the self-esteem of young gymnasts.

GYM CERT Educational Program

Founder and Board Member of the GYMCERT Educational Program, a USA Gymnastics partner offering online and offline gymnastics educational programs.


In addition to her remarkable coaching career and contributions as an educator and safety advocate, Rita Brown has played a pivotal role in the advancement of gymnastics at the national level. From 2006 to 2015, Rita served with distinction on the Board of the USA National Gymnastics Foundation, a tenure that underscores her commitment to nurturing the sport’s growth and sustainability.  The National Gymnastics Foundation was established in the wake of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, fueled by the energy and excitement of the USA’s gold medal achievements. With an initial endowment of $1.4 million, the Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, set forth on its mission to ensure the sport’s longevity. Its goals include promoting gymnastics, supporting the education and outreach efforts of USA Gymnastics, and preserving and growing its assets to benefit future generations.
